Arrived in Bangkok last night to 36C - quite a contrast to the freezing Melbourne we had left. Flight was pleasant and on time. We're staying at the Novotel right near the airport. It was our intention to do as little as possible today so after a leisurely breakfast we spent a few hours by the pool then decided to take the shuttle to the airport for some lunch. Sounds odd but we in fact found a little restaurant that served THE most delicious tom yum soup!! In preparation for 20 days at sea, we then enjoyed cocktails and canapes in the executive lounge - this now ensures an early night before flying to Copenhagen tomorrow.
